   It works just fine, and didn’t cost a ton of money. It is sturdy (no drop test performed). It meets my need for level of instrumentation under the ‘better is the enemy of good enough’ rule. Note the connections – it might not hurt to have a double male adapter around. I’d say it’s pretty accurate based on testing against a few systems of known performance, but if you need lab grade performance, you’ll need to go elsewhere. Results are repeatable, which speaks well for an inexpensive meter. As with so many pieces of gear coming out of Asia these days, it is barely polite to call the “user’s manual” a joke, but for a piece of equipment like this, that isn’t much of a handicap.

   I have used it with a Boafeng UV5R+ HT radio to tune an outdoor vertical whip antenna and it works fine.

   I use this on my rig for when I have it in the vehicle mounted and amplified configuration. It is good to let me know if I am just too far out from the repeaters and not just me forgetting to turn up the power or thinking something is wrong. For the price it is pretty good.
